About Forspro

Dr. Jose B. Fernandez founded FOReign Study PROgrams (FORSPRO) while he was chairman of the Foreign Language Department of Valdosta State University. His goal was to provide students quality and affordable study abroad programs. His idea was not only to offer a variety of courses but also to provide students an opportunity to experience the culture of Spain to the fullest.  His idea was to go beyond the classroom.

For the past 33 years, Forspro has been the study abroad program for many university and high school students.  In conjunction with our participating institutions, we have been able to provide students with dynamic study programs in Spain.

Forspro’s goals remain the same. The programs are designed to meet today’s demand for culturally aware and language proficient individuals. To insure the quality of our academic courses, the University of South Florida and our other participating institutions are involved in the planning of the academic curriculum and with the staffing of the faculty.   To offer students a true study abroad experience, the programs offer tours and visits to some of Spain's most important monuments, museums, and cities.
